Welcome to The Cake is  a Lie!

We have taken inspiration from Jackbox Games and Among Us, and developed an interactive party game that supports multiplayer and various devices.

The Lore

Chef Broccoli needs your help to build a cake! Beware though, one person has been planted to put a slightly different ingredient into the mix. If it makes it in, everyone could be in trouble. Let's just say, you really shouldn't let the imposter mix in their ingredient.

How we built our game:

Our game consists of a desktop client which serves the purpose of managing and starting the game. Additionally, we have a client side web-application that connects to the desktop client in order for players to easily play the game through a link on mobile as well as desktop. Real time communication proved to be a demanding challenge, which resulted in us using a myriad of technologies to combat the issues faced. The tools include Node.js, Socket.io, Tailwind, and Vue.js to allow for an interactive full-stack web experience.
